Men 2-pack boxer shorts King MaoriMAOKI1010-01
The Maori King Movement, or Kiingitanga in Maori, has been a response to the arrival of British colonialists, to stop further alienation from Maori-land in New Zealand. The prints on this underwear collection refer to the traditional face tattoos of the Maori. You’ll also find boxer shorts with a little hint to the sports that New Zealanders love: rugby. Kiwi’s in rugby are also known for their traditional dance at the start of a match, the ‘haka’, which is a rather intimidating sensation for their opponents. Our second print in this boxer short collection is a homage to Te Hokioi, an extinct, monstrous bird which was probably the world’s largest eagle. Oh, and it ate humans too. It was a huge black-and-white predator with a red crest, yellow and green feathers and talons the size of tiger claws.
